Yes you can turn up to the Train Station with your Pass Number, however you are not guaranteed a seat on the train if you have not made a prior booking or reservation.

Yes you can. Bookings for Interislander travel must be made 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time. You will be given an Interislander reference number on you e-ticket/itinerary which you must produce at the terminal on the day of travel.

It is your own free choice to decide where and when and what days you would like to travel within a 7 day period from the start date of your Pass.

No. The Rail Pass does not include the items, and you will need to book and pay for these costs separately for each train and ferry travel sector.
